The World Travel & Tourism Council will go ahead with its Global Summit in Cancun in March 2021.
Pushed back from earlier in 2020 due to the pandemic, it will feature a hybrid format that includes a live event with restricted capacity and extensive outdoor sessions to maintain physical distancing.
Those not attending can tune in virtually, with up to 20,000 online free registrations available.
"Every aspect of the 20th WTTC Global Summit is being explored to ensure it complies with the world's best available health and hygiene protocols to show how major conferences can be held safely and securely in the new normal," said Gloria Guevara, WTTC President and CEO.
"WTTC wants the Global Summit to learn from the challenges of the pandemic to showcase how we can use this experience to adapt to Covid-19 and lead tourism back to recovery."
The Summit will take place at The Moon Palace Convention Centre in Cancun on 23-25 March 2021.
